Completed his undergraduate degree at Bursa Uludağ University and his Neurosurgery training at Istanbul Marmara University Hospital, Department of Neurosurgery in 2008.
Started his professional medical career at the Marmara University, Neurosurgery Department in 2003.
He was promoted to the medical faculty degree in 2012.
Received the designation of associate professor in 2017.
He has performed more than 400 surgeries per year.
He implemented the use of case-based preoperative evaluation strategies and advanced imaging for performing neurosurgery in Turkey.
More than 16 local scholars and 5 international have been trained under his supervision.
His research includes the genetics and biology of neural system tumors, advanced imaging systems, spinal intradural tumors, nervous system tumors, treatment in the aging spine, and pediatric spine surgery.
He published numerous multicenter studies in collaboration with Harvard (USA), UCSF (USA), BAU (Turkey), Cha (Korea), Acıbadem (Turkey) institutes, and their affiliates.
He has continued his career as a lecturer in the Turkish Spine Association mainly on the "Eurospine Training Modules".
