Dr. Ruchir Maheshwari attended Shri M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in Gujarat in 1994 to pursue an MBBS degree. He completed his studies for an MBBS degree in 1999.

Dr. Ruchir Maheshwari attended R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur in Rajasthan to complete his M.S. (Surgery) degree. He attended the college from 2002 to 2005.

In 2002 he joined the Department of General Surgery of the Maharana Bhupal Govt Hospital, Udaipur, Rajasthan as a Resident Doctor. He was there till 2005.

In 2006 he joined the Department of Surgical Oncology of the Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital, Jaipur in Rajasthan as a Senior Resident.

He later joined Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow to complete a degree in M.Ch. (Urology/Genito-Urinary Surgery). He was there from 2007 to 2010.

He was at Apex Group of Hospitals, Jaipur in Rajasthan from 2010 to 2015 as a consultant for the Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation. He introduced the kidney transplant program at the Apex Group of Hospitals and performed the first laparoscopic donor nephrectomy.
