He worked as a Research Assistant at Harvard University’s Massachusetts General Hospital under the TUBITAK Scholarship (1993-1994).
He published extensively with 16 articles in international scientific journals and 51 in domestic journals.
He was awarded 2nd Prize by the Thoracic Society for international publications.
He held leadership roles as Secretary of the Istanbul Branch of the Thoracic Society and Chair of the Clinical Problems Working Group.
