Anterior colporrhaphy tightens the muscles in the front wall that hold your bladder in place. Posterior colporrhaphy weakened muscles in between your rectum and vagina may cause your rectum to droop onto your vagina's back wall. This is a specific type of POP called posterior wall prolapse.
