Tackling obesity with the best treatment plans.
Gastric Bypass Surgery is a type of weight loss surgery that is done on very obese patients. The stomach is divided into two parts, a smaller upper pouch which is attached to the esophagus, and a larger pouch. The smaller pouch is then connected to the intestines directly. This will cause all the ingested food to only reach the smaller pouch. The smaller pouch will take up less food and nutrients resulting in weight loss for the patient.
