Early diagnosing with the help of PET as prevention is better than cure.
A positron emission tomography (PET) scan is an imaging technique that is used to measure the metabolic processes and changes in the body to detect any abnormalities. The PET scan uses a radioactive drug to see its localization in the body’s tissues and organs. The radioactive drug is called the tracer and is injected into the body of the patient. The tracer is then detected by the PET scan machine to observe and create images that show the activity of the tracer in the body.
