He completed his MBBS from the University of Lucknow in the year 1975.
After completing his graduation, he completed his MS in General Surgery from the University of Lucknow in the year 1979.
He did his MCh with a specialization in Neuro Surgery from the University of Lucknow in the year 1983.
Dr. Husain currently practices at Max Super Speciality Hospital - Viraj Khand.
Previously, he worked as a Chief of Neurosurgery at the Sahara Hospital Lucknow.
He is an International Member of the Congress of Neurological Surgery, USA.
He is a life Member of, the Neurological Society of India.
He has successfully performed the first neurosurgery for a patient under hypothermic cardiac arrest in India.
He has published a number of scientific papers in many international journals, including 13 publications on technical developments in endoscopic neurosurgery.
He also holds patent rights to a device for endoscopic lumbar discectomy that he developed back in 2002.
