Dr. Suresh Rao has MBBS, MS and MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.
He also has a Diploma in National Board (CTS).
He has a fellowship from College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) and Indian Association of Cardio Thoracic Surgeons (FIACS).
He is specialized in Neonatal and Infant Heart Surgery, Complex Congenital Heart Corrections, and Valve Repairs in children.
His skills include advanced cardiac surgical techniques including limited posterior thoracotomies and mini-sternotomies.
His expertise is also in complex procedures such as arterial switch operations, repair of hypoplastic and interrupted arches, common AV canals, and Norwood operation.
He is also an expert in Ross & Ross Konno operations, Fontan repair, ALCAPA correction, Potts shunts for pulmonary arterial hypertension, and redo cardiac surgeries.
He has extensive experience in newer techniques of cardiopulmonary bypass for congenital heart corrections.
