He became a Certified Board member in Internal Medicine in the year 1978.
He was a Research Fellow at the Department of Clinical Physiology at the University of Ulm, Germany. He was there from 1980 to 1982.
He became a Certified Board member in Hematology in the year 1984.
He was a Clinical Fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA in the year 1985.
He later worked as a Professor of Medicine, in the Division of Hematology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok in Thailand.
He was also a Director of the Chulabhorn Bone Marrow Transplant Center.
He also served as a Director at the Siriraj Center of Excellence for Stem Cell Research.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute in Thailand, Academy of Science.
