Leukaemia is cancer of blood-forming tissues, hindering the body's ability to fight infection.Treatment is highly variable. For slow-growing leukaemias, treatment may include monitoring. For aggressive leukaemias, treatment includes chemotherapy that's sometimes followed by radiation and stem-cell transplant.
